Description: May 2, 1992, was one of the worst and most dramatic days of the siege. The fiercest battles were fought in the Skenderija area. In that area, trams were also hit during an attack on enemy vehicles, and they stopped in their tracks due to the fighting. On May 2nd, the famous Sarajevo trams stopped running. Most of them were destroyed at the locations where they were caught in crossfire. Throughout 1993, trams continued to stand at the locations where they were stopped on May 2nd, 1992. These locations were exposed to sniper fire from the surrounding hills. To amuse themselves, a group of young people gathered around the idea of video production, which they named "SAVE THE AMAZON," and filmed sketches in the destroyed trams. While they filmed humorous video notes about the stopped trams, they were exposed to potentially deadly shots from the hills.
